We spend so much time beautifying our home’s interior that we often end up neglecting the exterior completely. This is kind of understandable because most of us will spend more time inside than out, but it is hardly ideal. Not only because having a pretty outdoor space where you can spend time is always nice, but also because a home that has curb appeal is more likely to create a good first impression and attract more buyers when the time comes to sell up.

Hang some wall art
We hang beautiful pieces of art on the walls inside our homes, so why not on the outside too? If your exterior walls are a little plain and boring, you can seriously spice them up by hanging a bronze engraving, wooden collage, or pretty much any piece of art that attracts your eye which will also withstand the weather. Experiment and see what works for you.
Invest in a custom fence
Pickett fences may be nice, and paneled wooden fences may afford you the privacy you desire, but they are hardly the most inspiring, which is why, if you want to give your home’s exterior a bit of a boost, you might want to look into custom fencing which you can add extra design elements from iron wrought roses to pastel pink panels, to ensure that the perimeter of your property is totally unique and totally you.
Get the spray paint out
Spray paint is great for exterior decor. Not only does it come in pretty much any color imaginable, but you can use it for a wide range of things, from painting your outdoor furniture in pink and blue stripes to generating your very own graffiti mural on the walls of your home – the only limits are your imagination.
Make a wreath
A really simple way to boost your home’s exterior decor, which is also a fun way to spend some time being creative, is to make your own seasonal door wreaths. Most of us think of wreaths being a Christmas thing, but there is no reason why they cannot adorn your front door at any time of the year. Just be sure to change up the foliage to reflect the seasons, and your entrance will always look better than the neighbors’.
Go potty for planters
Planters are great because they come in all manner of shapes, sizes, and colors., and they make it really easy to plant and display as many beautiful plants and flowers as you like. They’re perfect for placing either side of the door, lining the walk up the drive, adding some color to the window ledges, and well you get the idea!
Paint the house
Painting the brickwork may take time, and it might actually be a good idea to get the professionals in, but it can give your home’s exterior a whole new lease of life, as well as a whole new personality too!
